Keeping Scrapbooking Supplies Hidden

I love to scrapbook but the supplies are small and there are many. How do I keep it all organized, accessible and at the same time easy to put away and take out when I want to scrapbook?

Organizing Scrapbook Supplies
by: The Organizer

Hi there! I love scrapbooking too and I have personally experienced the challenge of organizing scrapbook supplies. Having unorganized supplies is the reason that most people don't get their scrapbooks finished or barely get started before they run out of time. Believe me, I've been there.

When organizing your scrapbook supplies, everything needs to be portable, especially if you go to scrapbooking parties. I have found that portable filing boxes serve well in storing normal sized scrapbooking paper. The 12x12 sized papers and scrapbooking pages store well in a desktop vertical file organizer. I keep my stickers in a 3-ring binder with clear divided paper protectors. Creative Memories has great organizing supplies for scrap-bookers. The supplies, like scissors, cutters, adhesives, pens and so forth can be stored in a portable drawer container or a zip bag.

Keeping them hidden, well, that's a different story!

I have lots of scrapbooks and scrapbook supplies. I have an armoire that is totally dedicated to scrapbooking that I keep my completed scrapbooks and my in-the-process in it along with my supplies. It has adjustable shelves so I can fit everything in there and with closed doors everything is hidden. You might get the same effect from an organized closet. Do be aware that scrapbooks need to stored upright rather than stacked.

You will find more tips in my answer to organizing craft supplies.

Happy Scrapbooking!
