What's necessary from a child's point of view by: Anonymous
Hi Ashish,
It is important to realize that what parents think is necessary does not always meet the child's point of view. If so, all that would be in the rooms is a bed and clothes. It's the unnecessary things that make a creative, happy, thriving child.
Organizing children's rooms seems like quite a challenge because they are constantly changing. These changes make things that were at one time necessary (from the child's point of view) become totally obsolete.
It is necessary that you stay on top of what all accumulates in the children's rooms and narrow it down frequently. I suggest having a weekend each year that is totally dedicated to cleaning out and reorganizing the bedrooms of your children.
The first time it might take some time, but if you stay dedicated to an annual schedule, it will get easier all the time. It is a good habit to form and with any luck, your children will adopt the idea which can help them to lead a clutter free life themselves.
