by Beena Biju
(Cochin, Kerala, India)

I have a lot of flower pots in my garden. Now I wish to arrange them inside my house, especially in the guest room. Will you please suggest to me how to organize it beautifully?

Organizing Your Indoor Garden
by: The Organizer

Hi Beena,

House plants can be a wonderful addition to any home if you have the time and the desire to take care of them. I am certain that you will enjoy bringing the beauty of your garden inside.

The first thing that you need to look into is the sun exposure requirement of your plants. That will help you to select the placement of certain plants (i.e. in front of window, away from window).

After you have selected a location for each plant, I suggest that you arrange them by size with the taller plants in the back and the smaller ones upfront. You might consider purchasing plant stands to make the arrangement more interesting.

Personally, I keep my favorite plants separated from the rest. When they stand alone, they draw more attention and they make awesome decorations in any room.

Enjoy your indoor garden!
