Organize Hung Clothes

Organize Hung Clothes

Organize your hanging clothes by color, style and season. It's easy to do and will save you loads of time when you no longer have to search for that coordinating outfit!

What's the quickest and easiest way to do this thoroughly? Well, the first time may not be super quick but once it's done the first time, all you will need to do after that will be quick "tune-ups."

1. Take all of your hung clothes out and first sort by season.

  • spring/summer

  • fall/winter

2. Then sort into groupings such as:

  • pants/slacks/jeans

  • capris/shorts

  • shirts/blouses/tops

  • suits/dressses/skirts

  • jackets/sweatshirts/hoodies

  • and any other grouping specific to your wardrobe

During warmer seasons, keep light clothes/colors within easiest reach, opposite for colder seasons.

Put longer clothes in back or along sides of your closet, leaving room on the floor for shoes/boots.

Organizing your hanging clothes takes a bit of time at first but saves so much time thereafter.

Oh, and don't forget to to get rid of what you no longer like or wear.

Remember...most of us wear 20% of our clothes 80% of the time. The less you have the easier it is to organize and maintain!
