When I was a kid, my mom used to work at a Teacher's supply store, so she had all kinds of ideas on that kind of stuff. She got me and my sister each one of those giant bulletin boards (the kind that are 5 or 6 feet long) for our bedrooms, and mounted them high above our beds, and we could decorate our bulletin boards with all the school artwork we could fit on there. Worked real well.

Kid's artwork is special to them and I understand that as a mother, you worry that throwing them away when they start to pile up might hurt the child's feelings. There are many ways to handle this.
For instance, you might get your children a "treasure chest" and tell them that it is for keeping things that are special to them. When it gets full, they will have to go through and get rid of some to make room for more. This takes the dilemma off of your hands and makes them realize that they can't keep everything.
Another way is to let the child choose their favorites and frame them for decoration of the child's room. The rest can be placed in a memory book completed by you or the child.
